3D Testing Engine Under Development

Adnan Alliance has recently started a project that would help new openGL programmers to view there models in an 3D environment and control them without having to deal with the somewhat complex code of a game engine.

This project aims to enable a programmer to play with his/her model by simply “drawing” the model and a simple one-line modification to the main module. of course, with such simplicity there are obvious trade-offs, most noticeably is the lack of customizability. to counter this issue, the entire source along with models, textures, and everything else is licensed under the GPL.

The project will – insha2 allah- provide other features as well including custom hardware support (hardware design is intended to be licensed under an open license as well). multiple windows with custom views might be implemented.

Anybody who wishes to contribute to this project by testing it can contact me personally, a beta version should be released by February 2009.
